Not much time for much of anything at the moment. . .things are just so busy. . .and hot too! Should be able to get a release for the Brazil and Mexico footage soon and can’t wait to finish the Tenterfield clip, I just need a little while to get all this other stuff out the Cotton Tree Jetty on a perfect Sunshine Coast day! Times like this it sucks being behind the camera! Crazy times abound here on the Sunshine Coast at the moment. I have been shooting flat out and working pretty much non-stop. It seems that this time of the year is not only the hottest, but also It’s a happy day today! I’m heading down to meet the family in the absolute middle of nowhere! About 4 hours drive south-east from here in Northern New South Wales, there’s a little place called Tenterfield, which happens to be about halfway between where my the my Dad, Stepmom, and their 2 kids live in The Fall Atlanta I would never have seen. . . “Sorry sir, Australian citizens require a Visa to board this plane. You don’t have a visa.” Simple as that, I was grounded, stuck in Atlanta, unable to to contact the client and in worlds of stress. . .the gig was up before it even started. . All aboard. . . I’m way overweight. . .and today it cost me. . . Well blow me down and call me Shirly! If this isn’t the most amazing low light performance I have ever seen from a camera, that isn’t a night vision camera, I don’t know what is. . . Vincent Laforet, got his grubby mits on a pre-production Canon 1D MKIV and shot this short film, apparently pretty much Now I’m prepared to be shot down in flames for this one, since I am not really a tech-head as such. Whilst I do have some understanding of the way things work, I do not profess to be a genius when it comes to things like this. Yesterday though, I did get to thinking about This has been a long time coming! It’s official! I have received confirmation that Canon’s EOS 7D has hit Australian shores and most importantly that the one I ordered yonks ago is currentlty in transit and should be in my hot little hands early tomorrow afternoon. To say that I have been hanging for this AT LAST! It is official! We will see our first batch of Canon 7D Digital SLR’s hit Australian shores on Monday. With expected delivery to those who have pre-ordered by Tuesday afternoon. Rest assured I will be out Tuesday afternoon and evening shooting like mad and posting the results immediately. Game on!
