Canon 7D arrives in Australia

This has been a long time coming!

It’s official! I have received confirmation that Canon’s EOS 7D has hit Australian shores and most importantly that the one I ordered yonks ago is currentlty in transit and should be in my hot little hands early tomorrow afternoon. To say that I have been hanging for this to arrive would be a severe understatement. Any of you following this will know the borderline psychotic fervor with which I have anticipated the arrival of this camera. You know what they say about boys and their toys and all that. . .Yeah, well it’s true. What can I say, I’m a camera geek and proud of it!

Camera’s Direct got their shipment in today and have already shipped to their waiting pre-order customers, like myself, with overnight delivery! Now that is fast and effective! Got to give these guys a wrap, they are fantastic to deal with and if you’re in Oz, I can’t help but recommend them.

I have blocked out tomorrow afternoon for getting acquainted with it’s myriad of new functions and weather permitting, should be able to get outside to capture some  footage around the traps and put these new frame rates through their paces.

Until then, you’ll just have to wait, safe in the notion that your waiting will be infinitely less agonising than my own. . .
